Terms and Conditions 

The following terms and conditions apply to the sale of movable property (hereinafter referred to as "products") by Japandihome.com, organization number 559431-9559, (hereinafter referred to as "Japandihome.com" or "we"), unless otherwise agreed in writing between each customer (hereinafter referred to as "the customer" or "you") and Japandihome.com. When selling to consumers, Japandihome.com applies the specific terms below as well as applicable legislation. Japandihome.com online store (www. Japandihome.com) is hereinafter referred to as "Japandihome.com". 

  1. General

Japandihome.com sells goods via the internet to private individuals in the EU. To shop with us, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid ID for package deliveries. If you are under 18 years old, you need to have consent from your guardian for your purchase. The products we sell are made to order according to the customer's preferences and are shipped directly from the manufacturer to the customer. No right of withdrawal applies to goods made according to the customer's preferences. 

  1. Order

Ordering of products is done on our website Japandihome.com. Placing an order implies that you accept these terms and conditions and agree that your personal information will be registered in our customer database. A purchase agreement is made when the customer receives their delivery confirmation. The order confirmation is a confirmation of booked items with information that the agreed purchase is confirmed when the customer receives their delivery confirmation. In case of any inaccuracies in e.g. pricing, delivery time, product information etc., we reserve the right to correct this afterwards.  

Discount codes can only be used per purchase, they cannot be combined with each other or with other compensation or replacement codes. 

  1. Order for company

We only sell to private individuals. You can make purchases for your company by ordering from Japandihome.com as a private individual and then invoice the company. Please check with your company. It is not possible for us to change invoice details afterwards and issue invoices with company names. The entire payment process has been outsourced to a third party.  

  1. Payment

Japandihome.com uses Shopify Pay which provides most major payment partners such as Klarna, PayPal, and regular card payments. Special terms may apply as a complement to ours depending on which payment method you use. The terms are available from each payment provider. 

  1. Privacy Policy

We may process your personal data when you use Japandihome.com. Information on how we process your personal data can be found in our privacy policy. 

  1. Intellectual property

All content on Japandihome.comAll content, such as text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and other software, as well as all intellectual property rights related thereto (such as copyrights, design rights, pattern rights, and trademarks), belong to Japandihome.com or Japandihome.com suppliers and are protected by Swedish and international law. You do not acquire any ownership rights to such content or such intellectual property rights through your use of Japandihome.com or through the purchase of products from Japandihome.com. 

By using our original hashtags on social media, you agree to the following: 

You grant Japandihome.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free, global license to use your username and any photos and/or moving material you have tagged with our original hashtag(s) for marketing on websites, in emails, on social media - Japandihome.com channels and paid social media, as well as other marketing channels that Japandihome.com or our partners use. Japandihome.com may use, reproduce, distribute, combine with other material, modify and/or edit your content at its discretion. 

You hereby certify and warrant that (i) you own all rights to your content, (ii) you have permission from all individuals appearing in your content to grant the rights here, (iii) you are 18 years of age or older, and (iv) Japandihome.com's use of your content will not infringe upon any third party rights or any laws. You hereby release Japandihome.com from any claims for compensation regarding the use of your content and any intellectual property rights to it in connection with the above-described use. You hereby release and agree to indemnify Japandihome.com from any and all claims, demands, and liabilities of any kind related to the above-described use of content.

  1. Shipping and Delivery

When the item has left our manufacturers, the delivery responsibility is transferred to the shipping companies that will deliver your order within the specified time. Japandihome.com cannot provide any delivery guarantee for items that are not in stock with our manufacturers when you placed your order or for items that have left our manufacturers' warehouse. This means that the total delivery time before the item reaches you may be longer than what is stated as normal for the chosen shipping method if the carrier itself causes a delay. 

Since we have multiple manufacturers and suppliers, your order may be shipped in multiple deliveries. Parts of your order may be shipped from one warehouse, and the remaining parts from another. If your order is shipped from different warehouses, we will try to ensure that all items are delivered around the same time. 

When we have shipped your order, you will receive a delivery confirmation with a tracking number or a tracking link to your email address. If your package is shipped in multiple deliveries, you will also receive multiple delivery confirmations. Use the tracking number or tracking link to track your delivery. 

7.1 Delivery time 

Delivery time is based on the items in the shopping cart, your postal code, and the chosen shipping method. In the checkout, you will find an estimated delivery time for your specific items. This information can also be found in your order confirmation once the purchase has been completed. 

7.2 Delivery method 

Delivery of ordered items is done through DHL, UPS, and PostNord via the various options you see below. 

 
7.3 Transport responsibility 

If the item is damaged or lost during transportation from us to you, we are responsible. However, Japandihome.com is not responsible for items that have been handed over or otherwise delivered. 

In case of a return to us, it is you as a customer who is responsible for ensuring that the return is made correctly according to our return policy, and you are responsible for your purchased product (including damages caused to the product) until you have handed it over to the carrier who will return the product to us. 

7.4 Transport damages 

If the product is damaged when you receive it, this should be reported immediately to hello.japandihome.com. In order for us to claim the damage against our carrier, we need to report the transport damage to them within 1-3 days. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you report the damage within this time frame. This applies to both visible and hidden transport damages, so it is important that you unpack and check that the product is flawless as soon as possible after receiving it. 

If the damage is visible, it is easiest if you report this directly to the driver upon receipt of the shipment. Remember to always save the packaging so that the complaint can be handled correctly. 

A product that has been incorrectly dispatched should be reported to Japandihome.com as soon as possible. 

7.5 Order not fulfilled 

We reserve the right to charge you for the costs incurred if you do not pick up delivered products on time (return shipping, handling costs, etc.). Therefore, we charge a fee of 299 SEK if a package is not picked up. The shipment will be held at the post office for 7 days before being returned to us.  

  1. Right of withdrawal, product warranty, and open purchase

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that have been manufactured according to your instructions or have been customized according to your wishes, or to products that cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene if their seal has been broken. The products we sell are made to order according to the customer's wishes and are shipped directly from the manufacturer to the customer. No right of withdrawal applies to goods made according to the customer's wishes. If a product has been sealed or otherwise sealed, you may not break the seal if you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal. 

  1. Complaint

When shopping at Japandihome.com, you have a 1-year warranty on all products, and a 3-year right to claim according to the Consumer Sales Act.  

The product warranty only covers manufacturing defects that were present when you received the product. Original defects must be able to be demonstrated and confirmed by Japandihome.com for the product warranty to be valid. The product warranty means that, depending on the situation, you may be offered a free repair, new product, or a reduction of the original price. The product warranty does not apply if we cannot find the fault in the product, or if you have caused the damages yourself. 

If you wish to make a complaint and/or claim the product warranty, please contact our customer service via: hello@japandihome.comWe will ask you to send a description of the product's fault and visual material clearly proving the fault, so that we can assist you further in the process. Any refund will be processed as soon as possible after we have received and registered the defective product in our warehouse. 

Japandihome.com will of course cover the cost of the return shipping if you make use of the product warranty or the right to complain. 

  1. 10. Force majeure

If our performance of our obligations under these terms or entered agreements is substantially impeded or prevented due to circumstances beyond our control and which we could not reasonably have foreseen, this shall release us from the performance of our obligations, as well as damages and other consequences (so-called force majeure). Such unforeseeable events may include war, natural disasters, labor disputes, government decisions, missing deliveries from subcontractors, as well as other costly circumstances and events beyond our control. 

  1. 11. Other terms

Japandihome.com has the right to use subcontractors to fulfill our obligations under these terms of purchase. 

If a competent court, authority, or arbitration board finds that any provision of these terms of purchase is invalid or unenforceable, the provision in question and all other provisions shall be valid and enforceable to the extent permitted by applicable law. 

We reserve the right to make changes to these terms at any time. 

  1. 12. Applicable law and dispute

These terms and conditions shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with Swedish law, except for such international private law provisions that result in the application of the law in any other jurisdiction.

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your case, you are welcome to contact your local consumer advisor or the General Complaints Board (ARN) via https://www.arn.se/konsument/+46 85 08 860 00 or arn@arn.seWe always follow ARN's recommendations. 

If you have complaints or issues with Japandihome.com services or products, and you are unable to resolve the complaint or issue directly with Japandihome.com, you can also submit your complaint to the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform ("ODR platform"). The ODR platform offers consumers within the EU an opportunity to try to resolve disputes regarding complaints about products purchased online, without involving a court. By using the ODR platform, you as a consumer can find a body or forum for your complaints. You can find the platform here.
