La Concha is part of the series of 8 works by award-winning artist Kalle Johansson "Art by KMJ", uniquely created for Japandi Collection's "Art Selection".

Along the winding mountain paths, new shadows constantly open up, surprising around every bend. These paths, narrow and challenging, lead upwards into a landscape where every step seems to invite discovery. Below me, a careful pattern of layers of paint unfolds, where brushes of varying sizes have been used to create a texture that exudes both elegance and complexity. This abstract composition has been heavily sanded, allowing the structure of the raw wood fiberboard to gently emerge, like a whisper from the work itself.

With a skillful touch, spray paint and putty knives have then added a space and depth that invites the viewer to stop, explore and let their imagination roam free. Every detail in this work speaks to the subtle balance between the raw and the refined, where each step deepens the experience of being in a world that is both real and dreamlike. A work that challenges the senses and rewards those who take the time to discover its hidden nuances.

The abstract expression creates an almost meditative experience where the physical presence of the landscape dissolves into sensations of form and movement. By combining the dynamic textures with soft transitions in color, the artist leads the viewer beyond the visually concrete and into a world of moods and emotions. The raw, exposed surfaces serve as reminders of the primal power of nature, while the elegant, precise details provide a sense of control and balance. Here, chaos and order meet in a harmonious symphony, where the abstract creates a sense of infinite space and possibility. The work invites the viewer not only to see, but to experience – to lose themselves in a landscape that is both unknown and deeply familiar.
